Knowledge and skills

A major driver of child sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) is a lack of awareness about how it occurs and how to address it. In addition to discussing inappropriate behavior and the harms of SEA, training can empower project workers to proactively identify, report and refer cases of SEA. Educational initiatives should be contextually relevant to the project environment and discuss how children differ from adults when it comes to gender-based violence. See below for resources on building project teams' knowledge and skills.
